War of the Mages

Amarie looked at their guests,"Yes,why not join us for tea?More will join us later on...if you don't mind.."said Amarie as she had a strange feeling that a lot of people will come to them today.

"I don't refuse that idea, but they sure have more important things to do..." said Selena, doubting her friend's idea would be good. But Ezaria smiled to wiped Selena's hesitation.

"Better than not doing anything!" said Ezaria. "So finish your meal and let's head to Lady Islûsan's residence to meet them! I know the place."

Just like Ezaria had said, they then headed to Islûsan's house and stopped infront of the door. "What are we going to say, anyway?" Ezaria asked.

"What? I thought you've thought up something!" Selena said, frowning at her.

"Well, do you want to go back?" Ezaria asked, her narrowed eyes fixed at Selena.

"Of course no!" Selena said. She then knocked the door slowly hoping they wouldn't disturb their highest leader.

**The City/Shazarade City - Islûsan's House**

Master Blacksmith: High Mage Islûsan Lömandr, you look as dazzling as ever *he smiles at her, he'd known her all of his sixty years and she still had not looked as if she'd aged a day, while him on the other hand was an old man.*

Master Blacksmith: This *he indicates Dhinil beside him* is a special guest I invited, his name is Mage Dhinil, a specialist when it comes to empowering weapons and the like. Also not too shabby a blacksmith if I do say so myself.

*Dhinil inclines his head and bow towards Islûsan*

Dhinil: It’s an honour.

*The Master Blacksmith and Dhinil accept Islûsan invitation and follow her into the house, the older man pauses upon seeing Amarie.*

Master Blacksmith: Forgive me Islûsan, I did not realize that you already had a guest....we could come back another time...?

*Both men nod their thanks to the offer of tea and follow the Elvin women into the living room, careful to remove their boots at the front door.*

**Warming Rock - Between Shazarade City and Forest**

*The shadow messenger wasn't aware of it, but as soon as they'd entered Satoh's space they been caught in an intricate spider web shadow trap that had not sprung as Satoh didn't wish to alert Uxrut, he ignores the messenger for now.*

*Satoh comes to an arrangement with Uxrut, than gives her a shadow map that will also act as a pass key for her to enter the sorceress's tower. He watches her leave astride her lizard before he turns slow to face the shadow messenger, and fist suddenly springs around it and squeezes around it.*

Satoh: What is it?

Islûsan smiled. "It's quite all right, really," She said, then heard another knock at the door. "Oh my, we certainly are rather popular this morning," She smiled as she said this and opened the door to see Ezaria and Selena standing there. "Good morning. How may I help you two ladies?" She asked.

The shadow messenger seemed unaffected by Satoh's sudden attack. "I come bearing a message from Lady Clarisse. She says that you are to bring the vampire to her as soon as you locate him," The thing said. It waited for a response.

**The City/Shazarade City - Islûsan's House**

*The Master Blacksmith and Dhinil take a seat in Islûsan's living room, not wish to seem rude by prying with her other visitors that had arrived just after them.*

Dhinil: For some reason those two at the door look familiar, but I can't say why...*Dhinil states in a low whisper to the older man beside him.*

*The Master Blacksmith does not reply but thinks on this for now...*

**Warming Rock - Between Shazarade City and Forest**

Satoh: Of course...I like to report successes not half ass jobs like some of her so called servants. Tell her that I shall not be long with our new house guest. Also you may wish to mention that we have a new fried that will be arriving by herself in a few days. *Of course he refers to Uxrut.*

**Roads towards the Sorceress's Tower**

*Uxrut growing board with her land version of travel, jumps off her lumbering lizard summon and with a tap of her staff recalls the creature she'd been astride only moments before hand. With a harsh utterance and a spark of power in her staff another lizard is called forth, this one has leather wings and is capable of carrying a medium to light built person, such as Uxrut. Without further a do Uxrut mounts her new beast and once more takes up her journey.*

The shadow messenger bowed, then disappeared to report to Lady Clarisse.

"My lady," Clarisse heard the voice of her shadow messenger behind her. She turned around to hear his response. "Satoh says that he will not be long with the new house guest, and he wished for me to inform you that a new friend will be ariving within the next few days on her own," It said. Clarisse nodded in satisfaction, then waved her hand. The messenger disappeared.

**Forest**

*As soon as the shadow messenger had departed, Satoh had refocused on the location of the vampire that High Sorceress Clarisse wanted. With out too much difficulty he located him still in the same forest. Without having to worry about the Othrosian, Satoh still in shadow approaches Apprentice Mage Sadentìr Lèsændlt...*

**Skies Above the Sorceress's Tower**

*Uxrut, with her summoned lizards, had arrived at the sorceress's tower far faster than Satoh would have credited her. With the map also acting as a pass stone, she easily glides pass the outer defenses as her flying lizard lands her but a few steps from the entrance to the tower...*

Sadentìr sensed a presence behind him. He paused briefly, but, upon hearing nothing, he shrugged and continued on. He kept an ear open, and an eye on the shadows that were all around him...

Clarisse had watched Uxrut come in on the flying lizard. She was impressed, and she knew they now had a very powerful ally on their side. She decided to go out and greet their new friend.

**Forest**

*With hardly a ripple in the shadows, Satoh steps out and without warning his foul spelled claws slash out at Sadentìr's back, if they make contact the poisons and dark spells would not be able to kill the vampire but they'd seriously weaken him so that Satoh could scoop him up and take him to Clarisse...*

**Sorceress's Tower**

*Uxrut taps her staff and the lizard disappears with a pop from the air rushing into the space the creature had just inhabited. Uxrut whistles under her breath as she takes in the magnificence of the tower, this was a wealthy employer and one without those strange morals which sounded like the best kind to be hired by as far as Uxrut was concerned.*

Sadentìr cried out as he felt Satoh's claws in his back. He dropped to his knees, then fell face first onto the ground.

Islûsan gasped as she felt a sudden presence from the forest just outside of the city. "Sadentìr," She whispered, then pushed her way past the two girls, saying "Excuse me," as she did, and she began running toward the forest.

Clarisse smiled toward Uxrut as she approached the other. "You must be the guest we were expecting," She said, feigning kindness.

Ezaria stepped forward and was going to explain their visit when Islûsan gasped and ran towards the forest. "Ara? What's going on?" Ezaria said, watching Islûsan went away. "Should we follow her?"

"My feeling says that we'd better stay away..." said Selena.

Amarie stayed calm when she saw Islûsan running out,"Please take care of the house..I trust all of you,but I would not hesitate if anyone of you betray us.."she said as she ran into the room and picked up both her cloak and Islûsan's,she pulled on her white robe and cloak as she ran after Islûsan,knowing very well that her services was needed.

Islûsan ran quickly into the forest, but slowed to wait for Amarie. "Sadentìr!" She cried out, looking around and reaching out to sense him. "Sadentìr!" She cried again. She looked around and took several steps forward. She was afraid that something terrible had happened to her former pupil. "Sadentìr!" She called out once more, but this time, there was sorrow in her voice, and tears in her eyes. The tears began to flow down her cheeks.

Amarie reached Islûsan,she knows that it was no use for her to comfort her friend for it is now her job to find Sadentir,"To Earth beneath me and the skies above me,please aid me in my search for a wounded child and call upon him.."she muttered as she held out both her hands,after her chanting,rings of blue ripples spread out from her and slowly a magic glyph was formed,she was using Blood Search.

((I'm glad to see you back and well.))

Islûsan looked around, hoping to catch a glimpse of Sadentìr, but she knew it was useless. She wept in frustration. "Sadentìr... Please come home..." She whispered to the air.

Amarie opened her eyes in alarm as she grab hold of Islûsan's hand and ran with her into the forest,casting Haste on themselves so that they can hurry towards Sadentir who she knows very well is poisoned and she too sense someone else,someone with ill intent.

Islûsan followed behind Amarie, figuring that she had found Sadentir. She wiped her tears, and she could sense him as she got closer toward him. It was obvious that he was hurt badly. She was determined to help him in any way she could.

They were nearing the scope of poison for Amarie smelt it as they went nearer,she held out her hand while she ran and flicked it so that a water barrier is cast over them to dilute the strength of the poison."We're nearing him.."she muttered to her friend.

"I think... someone's in danger there..." said Ezaria slowly, holding the rosary hanging on her chest tightly.

"If Ezaria thinks so... probably she's right," thought Selena. They had been together for years, and Selena knew that Ezaria could sense things like this sometimes. "Let us go and see," Selena said waveringly.

"No, let Lady Islûsan and Lady Amarie do it by themselves," said Ezaria. "We'll only be burdens there."

**Forest**

*Satoh's fangs show as he looks down at the vampire that Sorceress Clarisse wanted so much.*

Satoh: I expected more of a fight...but I can hardly complain you making my job easier.

*Satoh wraps up Sadentìr up in shadow to ensure the corruptions from his claws that he'd sent into the vampire do not become fatal. Clarisse wouldn't be very happy if he produced a dead subject after all.*

*Satoh's suddenly raises his head as the smell of two elves reaches him and the sense and smell of good magics close by.*

Satoh: too bad my mission doesn't include those two...another time

*Satoh takes Sadentìr and folds the two of them into the shadows; he plans to ride the shadows back to Clarisse to complete his mission. Than if Clarisse was pleased he could come back and have some fun.*

**Sorceress's Tower**

*Uxrut regards the Sorceress frankly, she wasn't too faced when it came to business.*

Uxrut: Guest...hah don't you mean employee. I expect to be paid well and entertained, that’s why I'm here.

*She rubs her hands together and she regards the half elf, half vampire women before her.*

Uxrut: I hope you have some pests or enemies for me to deal with...otherwise I could get bored and move on.

*She flashes a grin at the sorceress.*

**The City/Shazarade City - Islûsan's House**

*Dhinil, his eyes full of concern is about to follow the two elfin women out of the door when the master blacksmith restrains him.*

Master Blacksmith: If they want our help they'll ask for it...plus as far as the two ladies are concerned you’re an unknown and you've not worked with Islûsan before which could create a fatal mistake in a battle.

*Dhinil nods and sits back down, it seems that until he was introduced into the magic circles, he would be an untrusted and unknown quantity.*

Amarie gasped as she stopped suddenly,"No..."she muttered,she felt a lurching feeling,it was too late...She just knew it,"I-I'm sorry,Islûsan...they've taken him.."she said with a hoarse voice,she was unable to trace where Sadentir was brought to,"But...I think I know who took him.."she added.

"No! Sadentìr!" Islûsan cried out. Tears noe streaked her face openly. She collapsed to her knees and wept bitterly.

Clarisse smiled at Uxrut. "There's no fooling you, is there? Very well, then. However much you would like to be paid, we'll give it gladly," She said, and she took out a large purse bulging with gold coins. She tossed it to Uxrut. "As for entertainment, there's always plenty of that. I can sense the High Mage and High Priestess nearby. I was planning on forcing them to surrender, but you can use them for entertainment, if you wish."

**Shadows - Traveling across the land towards Sorceress's Tower**

*With Sadentìr slung over a shoulder, Satoh moves swiftly towards the location of Sorceress Clarisse tower. He grins in anticipation at what the lady had in stall for this witless vampire. Mindful that this vampire was recently a camping companion of the othrosian, Satoh has already decided not to mention it to her. He was sure she'd be plenty occupied in Clarisse's employ.*

**Sorceress's Tower**

*Uxrut's eyes narrow as she easily snatches the loaded purse from the air and pockets it just as quickly.*

Uxrut: For such a sum, what exactly did you want done to these two you mentioned.

*Uxrut having spent most of her time in the desert of her people, knows little of the outside, but that wasn't enough to make her hesitate, a direct attack was a good way to sound out the skill of ones opponent. Many encounters were best, and fun. But with such a purse for starters, perhaps this sorceress was not patient for the drawn out games of her kind. Best she find out before she left to go have a look see.*

Amarie looked painfully at her friend,she could not succumb to sadness,she was Islûsan's only support and eventhough Sadentir was a companion of hers as well,she kneel down and held onto Islûsan's shoulders and guided her back to her house.Knowing very well that explanation had to be done.
